1. Who we are

ContainerBrowser is developed by an independent developer ("we", "us"). We can be reached at the contact email below for any privacy question or request relating to the app.

2. What ContainerBrowser does

ContainerBrowser is a browser app that lets you run multiple isolated browsing profiles ("containers") on the same device, each with its own cookies, logins and local browsing data, implemented using the Android WebView engine.

3. Information we collect

We aim to collect as little as possible, and we do not run our own analytics or tracking servers.

CategoryWhat it isWhere it's stored
Browsing data per profile Cookies, site logins, browsing/download history, bookmarks, cached pages Locally on your device only, isolated per profile. Never sent to us.
App settings Your profile names/icons, theme, and feature toggles (e.g. biometric lock, proxy config) Locally on your device only.
Biometric unlock If you turn this on, authentication is handled entirely by Android's own Biometric API Your device's secure hardware. We never see or receive your fingerprint/face data.
Advertising identifiers & ad interaction data Google's advertising ID and standard mobile ad request data (device type, coarse location inferred from IP, ad engagement), collected by Google AdMob to show and measure ads Processed by Google per their own policy — see Section 5.
Crash/diagnostic data If your device sends crash reports, this goes through the Google Play Console crash reporting Android already provides — we do not run a separate crash SDK Google Play Console.

4. What we do NOT do

5. Third-party services

ContainerBrowser uses the following third-party SDKs:

6. Permissions we request

PermissionWhy
Internet / Network stateTo load web pages and ads.
Biometric / FingerprintOnly if you enable the optional profile-lock feature.
NotificationsOnly to show the reminder you explicitly set via a profile's "Set Alarm" action.
Receive boot completedOnly to re-schedule a reminder you already set, after a device restart.

7. Data deletion

Because your browsing data lives only on your device, you're always in control of it:

To request deletion of anything we may hold on our own systems (limited, per Section 3 — e.g. a support email you sent us), contact us at the address below.

8. Children's privacy

ContainerBrowser is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Data retention

Locally stored browsing data is retained until you clear it or uninstall the app. Advertising data is retained by Google per its own retention policies, linked in Section 5.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
